»Different color means different life«
»Hyperpigmentation« is a series of stills, remixing photographs of bacterial color bands around geothermal hot springs. During a field trip to Yellowstone National Park, we gathered images of various mesmerizing color fields and rock formations. Touched by intense impressions and immediate inspiration, the idea of working on a combination of photographs and computer-generated images formed quickly. Since our determination was not to compete with natural beauty, but rather amplify it digitally, we decided to pick up the existing color pool and mix it with newly introduced surreal shapes, resembling the contrast between the peaceful beauty and the geothermal forces, inside the ever-changing landscapes of Yellowstone Park.
